On Saturday, June 4th, 12-9pm, we're celebrating the one year anniversary of our Grand Opening. Whatever the case, the event will feature ALL THE FUN, plus some surprises from our cellar. Don't miss it!

Ever stare wistfully into your beer, wishing you possessed some magical elixir that enables you to travel the globe at your leisure? We certainly do, because as beer folk, we devise the best beer when our imaginations run wild (and our pint glasses runneth over).
In the name of adventure and travel and the autumnal equinox, Outer Light Brewing Company wants to take you around the world. And you don't even need to look up from your pint glass.
Collaborating with Mystery Brewing Company in Hillsborough, NC, we brewed a saison with American hops, English malt, Belgian yeast, and Eastern spices. Fogg, named after the protagonist Phileas Fogg in the Jules Verne classic Around the World in 80 Days, showcases a garam masala spice blend. In this fruity brew, you'll find coriander, cinnamon, cumin, cloves, cardamom, bay leaves, star anise, and fennel. All the good spices without that curry heat.
Then we traveled to North Carolina and brewed the exact same recipe at Mystery Brewing Company...only we changed the spices. Instead of Eastern spices, we used Western spices: anchon chili peppers, sage, and juniper berries. Because beer is fun.
Fogg Saison. Landing September 16 at the Outer Light taproom.
Malt: Maris Otter, Munich, Flaked Wheat, Victory
Yeast: Mystery Brewing Company's house saison strain
